French intimists: Paul Vuillard and later, Pierre Bonnard – painted restful interiors – secure, discrete and warm. In their work they revealed an atmosphere of wellbeing and tender ‘intimacy’. They relished the substance of painting matter making it ‘their own’, closely guarded in a sense … Much like Olga Boznańska – a master of painting moods. more

Łukasz Huculak has re-discovered white. His palette has become lighter. After the greys and browns dominant in his previous paintings – this illumination is purifying and this is how he is painting now. Łukasz Huculak’s latest work will be presented at an exhibition in the Latająca Galeria in December. more

The All the Best exhibition will feature the work of artists cooperating with the Latająca Galeria including the newest endeavours by XY ankamierzejewska, Łukasz Huculak, Paweł Mendrek and Małgorzata Etber-Warlikowska. We will also show the work of young artist, Natasza Nidziółka, debuting in Poland, but already recognized around the world. more

The series of Katarzyna Kmita’s work from which the exhibition, ‘Cut-outs Parade’, has been prepared has been in progress for many years. It reflects the growing interest of contemporary culture with folk art. Kashubian flowers, colourful belts from Łowicz, wooden necklaces and of course – the cut outs (originating from Kurpie and Łowicz), once superfluous and passé, now are used on clothes and furniture as decorative motifs. more

The paintings of Kasia Domańska from her new cycle “Summer” seem to depict our dreams. They are an illustration of everything which is usually associated with a carefree summer: a beach under a brilliant sun, waves on the sea, blue sky, parasols, sun screens, beautiful young women in colorful bikinis, little girls playing in the sand… Summer’s lazy tardiness… more
